Mexican baseball players who have faith in God

Mexico has become one of the standout nations in baseball.

After their amazing performance in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, Mexico is up to third in the world rankings.

Their success on the international stage has allowed for more players to get a chance in the MLB and we’ve picked out some Mexican stars who are using their new-found success to bring glory to God.

Ramon Urias

The Baltimore Orioles infielder often points to the sky to give glory to God.

This is in line with the bible’s teaching that God deserves all glory, not us:

Psalm 115: 1 says: Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.

Jonathan Aranda

The Tampa Bay Rays infielder regularly thanks God for the ‘blessings‘ in his life.

The Bible teaches that every truly good gift in our lives is from God.

James 1:17: Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.

Isaac Paredes

At the end of last season, the Tampa Bay Rays infielder ‘thanked God for a season of ups and downs.

Romans 8 reveals that this life will be filled with ups and downs until Jesus returns and makes all things right:

‘I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.’

The Seattle Mariners pitcher after returning from surgery in 2020 talked about ‘trusting God’s process’.

God’s word is full of reminders that trusting in His ways leads to life at the fullest:

Proverbs 3: Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Julio Urias

The Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher has ‘Phill 4:13’ tattooed on his neck.
